About the Course

The Advanced Diploma in International Culinary Arts (ADICA) course is offered by Vedatya Institute in partnership with Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).

ADICA is a two year programme that includes 6 months of on-the-job training. With Vedatya being the leader in research as well as academic discourse in the area of hospitality management, the programme promises to offer skills and knowledge required for a successful career in culinary arts in the hospitality sector. An academic partnership with one of the world's largest hotel company, InterContinental Hotels Group, in the form of an IHG academy offers students an unparalleled industry oriented learning experience.

This advanced level specialized programme provides rigorous training in culinary arts by offering an essential blend of theory with practical exposure. The programme acts as a stepping stone for budding chefs, wherein the initial phase of the programme provides students with fundamental skills. In the subsequent year, the programme focuses on the advanced skills by offering rigorous training in one of the two specialization domains – general cookery & baking and confectionary, as per student choice and interest. The course curriculum, delivered through the school's highly trained faculty, has the following key features

  • Class 12 of the Indian School System with minimum 50% (in best 4 subjects) in CBSE, ICSE or equivalent accreditation
  • A candidate can either fill online application form or download it from the website and send the duly filled application form to the address mentioned on the form along with the application fee draft drawn in the favour of "Umak Educational Trust" payable at Gurugram. Candidate can also obtain the application form from the Institute's Admission Office by depositing the application fee in cash
  • Selection is based on personal interview and written test

Please note that an additional fee of GBP 220 is payable to SQA at the beginning of the course.



  • GST @18% and any other applicable taxes are additional. Taxes are subject to revision as per the statutory policy of the government of India.
  • Foreign University fee will be determined by the exchange rate at the time of payment
  • First installment is payable as per the date communicated in the offer letter

Terms & Conditions

  • A refundable programme security deposit of Rs. 15,000 is to be paid at the time of admission. This is fully refundable when the student completes the programme or for some reason when he/she leaves the programme
  • If a student leaves the program in the middle of an academic year, then he/she is liable to pay half the annual fee for the particular year
  • A one-time charge of Rs. 12,000 (inclusive of taxes) is payable before the programme's commencement towards a uniform and culinary kit
  • Any taxes as applicable by law are not included in fees and will be charged additionally
  • International trip opportunity can be availed at an extra cost as communicated closer to the departure date
  • Learning resources are provided/facilitated by the institute

Fee Refund Policy

  • The registration fee is refundable only in case the candidate fails or does not meet the 50% marks requirement (in best 4 subjects) in class XII or equivalent exams. It will not be refunded under any other circumstances
  • Fee once paid is not refundable except the security deposit
