Ginger Hotels | Management Development Program

About the Event

Vedatya organized a three day 'Management Development Programme' for a team of 20 managers and assistant managers from Ginger. The participants were hosted on Vedatya campus for the duration of the programme, enabling them to engage with learning in an appropriate setting.

Programme started with a session on 'leadership and change management' that was delivered by Dr. Sudhanshu Bhushan, the session offered a unique integration of theoretical concepts presented to participants in a manner where its 'practice' remained central to the discussion. Dr. Bhushan also connected the spiritual dimension of human development with leadership potential.

This was followed by a workshop on 'service excellence' that was delivered by Prof. Sandeep Munjal. The workshop had an opening session that focused on building an understanding of key aspects around service quality and service excellence, and looked at the 'gaps' in service delivery and provided inputs on how managers can make an impact in terms of closing them.

Prof. Anjana Singh closed day one with inputs on 'practice of revenue management', leaving the group to enjoy a game of cricket. Some of the other sessions that were a part of the 'MDP' were focused on team building and working with culturally diverse teams. Workshop on enhancing 'financial analysis' skills that would allow managers to work with key financial statements delivered by Prof. Munjal helped the participants work on an aspect that is often ignored.

It was not all work and no play; participants enjoyed a cultural evening with a range of interesting activities organized by the team at Vedatya. A meditation workshop, along with inputs on healthy eating constituted some of the other elements that were embedded within the programme. Students at Vedatya found themselves engaging with various aspects of this event including organizing all hospitality aspects, and were also able to interact and network with the participating professionals. The Team received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the participants and leadership team at Ginger.
