Vedatya, established in 2000, is the best private college located in Gurgaon that offers degree, diploma, and certificate programs in affiliation with Gurugram University through its four schools of excellence – Hotel School, Culinary School, Design School & Business School.
Our excellence in student centricity, as defined by global industry partnerships, international academic programs, and foreign-trained faculty, is why our students have international and domestic internship opportunities & full-time jobs in countries such as France, UAE, Mauritius, Thailand, etc.
We also practice applied learning through initiatives such as on-campus farms, student-led design installations, and student-managed food trucks.
Vedatya’s interdisciplinary and applied approach to education makes us as the best private college in Gurgaon & Delhi NCR.
With respect to the interdisciplinary approach, while the courses listed below are based on their primary focus, each one of them has components related to business, sustainability and services design.
Our applied approach results in both domestic and international internships, an industry mentorship program, student led design installations and events on campus, and on-campus organic farming initiatives that are part of the hospitality curriculum.
We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs in hotel management, culinary arts, design, business management and other fields of study in affiliation with Gurugram University, Gurugram, Haryana.
“Joining the Hospitality Management program at Vedatya was one of the best decisions of my life. The overall experience was incredible. The classes were dynamic and brought about important reflection on academic theories and combined them with practices faced in the real hospitality world. The high quality of the group discussions and international exposure gained during the internship program significantly contributed to my professional and personal life.”
“Vedatya has lots to offer to its students in terms of industry interaction, studies, events, participation in internal and external competition, conferences, workshops etc. All this and more forms part of a student development program which is holistic in nature. I was prepared and positioned to meet corporate expectations through various workshops and training sessions. The one year internship gave me the much needed training I needed to succeed in my career. Thanks to Vedatya and all the faculty members who were all there for me throughout the program.”
“I am an Alumni of the 2011 SHTM batch and got placed as a Management Trainee at IHG from Vedatya, an assignment that has been the cornerstone of an immensely satisfying career so far. Back in 2011, post the guidance from some of the faculty, I started an accelerated management career and went onto to lead hotels as one of the youngest General Manager at IHG.
The curriculum, based on applied research, is clearly the USP for me. Add to it, the practical experience in the 1st year, the internship in the 2nd year, and management modules and thoughtful industry interface throughout the curriculum and you have a winner.”
Recommend to every student who is looking forward to making their career in the hospitality industry. Highly qualified and supportive staff with practical-based learning for students makes Vedatya one of the best hotel management institutes in India.
Vedatya Institute is one of the best universities where one will be molded into a hospitality
professional. I studied hotel and restaurant management at Vedatya and my
course offered a unique combination of learning and self-development. The faculty
members bring their professional knowledge and extensive experience to the table and
help students get insights into the hospitality industry as a whole. Unparalleled infrastructure
with state-of-the-art facilities & equipment definitely added to my experience.

The specific competitions being organized are – Bartending and Mixology, Budding Chef, E-waste sculpting, Joy of Draping, Ad-Mad Show and Carry your weight competition.
The participants will have an opportunity to express their passion and interest in the professional areas of hospitality, Culinary, and Design.
Students Choice
Participating students can choose to express their interest and creativity by choosing any one of the below-listed competition formats being offered:
i. Bartending & Mixology Competition | School & College Students
If you are passionate about bartending and mixology, this is the opportunity to showcase your skills, knowledge, and flair. Each contestant will be required to prepare and present a selection of ‘two’ cocktails/ mocktails of choice for the judges to evaluate. One of these has to be from the classical grouping, while the other will represent your innovation.
Note – A maximum of two teams are allowed from one institute/school/college for each competition and it will be based on first come first registration, registration of more than two teams for each competition will need the approval of Vedatya Institute.
ii. Budding Chef Competition | School & College Students
The theme for the budding chef competition 2023 is “Reviving Culinary Heritage of India”. Therefore the participants have to prepare a traditional Indian dish that is not very commonly seen or is lost with time or a nostalgic dish that will take us back in time.
The Budding Chef Competition hosted by Vedatya has been a huge success with nearly 50 schools participating each year. In continuation with the same spirit, we are organising a chef competition for school/college students and would like to invite your esteemed school/college to participate in the chef competition.
Vedatya has nearly four-acre of fruit and vegetable farms dedicated to serving fresh, healthy, and sustainable produce. The farming initiative provides a platform to engage our students with concepts like Farm to Fork and organic sustainability in culinary arts.
The Chef Competition finds an interesting setting at Vedatya in view of the above-mentioned differentiators, enabling participants to simultaneously engage and learn as they showcase their talent. It is indeed a fantastic opportunity for all the students to demonstrate their skills, creativity, and passion for a potential culinary / hospitality pathway.
Participants will compete in the form of teams of two and the competition will be run in two separate tracks, track 1 for school students and track 2 for college students.
Note – A maximum of two teams are allowed from one institute/school/college for each competition and it will be based on first come first registration, registration of more than two teams for each competition will need the approval of Vedatya Institute.
iii. “E-waste Sculpting” – Art from waste materials| School Students & College Students
The Anthropocene era has generated an unwanted by-product; waste. Humans waste a large number of materials in their daily life as well as in their lifetimes. This has resulted in unwanted problems such as pollution, unhealthy living as well as problems of disposal. Apart from these, non-degradable materials keep lingering on much beyond human lifetimes. While recycling is one of the ways in which we can reduce the harmful effects, repurposing is an easier and simpler way to address the problem.
In this competition, students will attempt to repurpose waste materials and turn them into works of art that are both beautiful and convey a message or meaning. The works can be 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional in nature. The work will be done in a span of three hours under the supervision and guidance of an expert. The judging will be done by an invited expert from the visual arts arena and will be followed by a short talk on the importance of art and creativity in daily life.
Participants will compete in the form of teams of five to seven students each ideally, but a minimum size of three team members is required to participate in this competition.
Note – A maximum of two teams are allowed from one institute/school/college for each competition and it will be based on first come first registration, registration of more than two teams for each competition will need the approval of Vedatya Institute.
iv. “The Joy of Draping” – Innovative Body Adornment Through Draping of Cloth | School & College Students
Uncut cloth is a wonderful way to adorn our bodies. From Saris and Sarongs to Greek Gods and Goddesses, uncut cloth draped over our bodies have been a way to express ourselves and our social stature for centuries. Draping is a wonderfully creative way to express moods and feelings and gives tremendous flexibility for achieving varied results.
In this competition, participants will bring their own uncut cloth in the form of saris, yardage, turbans, dhoties, bedsheets, or any other long-form cloth and attempt to express their concept of adornment through draping. They will be allowed to use pins, hooks, or other means to hold the cloth together and create the desired effect. The focus will be on innovative ways of draping and will be supported by a story on the character surrounding the design. The contest will be judged by an expert from the fashion world and will be done through a ramp walk and show.
Participants will compete in the form of teams of five to six students each ideally, but a minimum size of three team members is required to participate in this competition.
Note – A maximum of two teams are allowed from one institute/school/college for each competition and it will be based on first come first registration, registration of more than two teams for each competition will need the approval of Vedatya Institute.
v. “Carry Your Weight” – An Exercise in understanding structures and Forms | School & College Students
Gravity is part of our life and it is what keeps everything firmly on the ground. However, it is also that which gives us “weight”. Depending on how we see it, it can either be a burden or it can be useful. Sometimes, we get surprised by how different situations allow us to understand gravity and weight. In some cases, what we thought is a weak structure actually is the opposite and can end up carrying a lot of weight. In other cases, what we thought were strong structures turn out weak and break down at the slightest hint of pressure. In either case, the ability for a structure to carry weight is determined by materials, construction and form. In many ways, this is representative of us as human beings too!
In this competition, the teams will be given the challenge to create structures that can carry their own individual weight using given materials. They have to plan and execute this in a span of three hours. The contestants are free to imagine the form and structure of their creation but with a sense of scale and proportion. They will be required to tell a story about their creation at the end. The ideation and creation process will be guided and judged by an invited expert.
Participants will compete in the form of teams of five to six students each ideally, but a minimum size of three team members is required to participate in this competition.
Note – A maximum of two teams are allowed from one institute/school/college for each competition and it will be based on first come first registration, registration of more than two teams for each competition will need the approval of Vedatya Institute.
vi. “Ad-Mad Show “- Where Creativity Meets Madness | School & College Students
AD MAD SHOW is an ‘Advertisement Making Competition’ for School students to showcase their creativity in Marketing products and services. Its objective is to acquaint the students with promotional strategies in marketing through advertisements. It consists of humorous & conceptual ad presentations by the students.
Students will act out on various advertisement scripts and ideas relevant to different sectors including FMCG products, services, automobiles, culture, heritage, and social awareness etc. All the teams will be given a time frame to showcase their talent.
The students would be required to be in a team size of five, a minimum requirement to participate in the competition would be a team size of three.
Note – A maximum of two teams are allowed from one institute/school/college for each competition and it will be based on first come first registration, registration of more than two teams for each competition will need the approval of Vedatya Institute.
NOTE: More details on the competition will be shared separately with registered contestants closer to the date.

Amidst all the chaos and turbulence, it’s inevitable for the business to be agile and keep the business afloat. Building strategic agility to outperform the competitors and benchmark oneself enables cruise the environment uncertainty and turbulence prevailing. The conference aims to re-envision the concept of agility to bring deserved excellence in operations which may lead to the emergence of agile firms who can sustain and flourish in VUCA environment. It has become an important tool to cut across the fierce competition and highly unpredictable business environment. Agility cannot be brought in isolation; it needs sustainability to be underpinned in all the business operations and other processes. The threshold or the gateway for agility is through sustainability which many of the businesses have realized it but yet struggling to put them into practice. The conference aims to invite the research papers from researchers, academicians and industry practitioners to contribute to the development of business agility and sustainability by deliberating issues, challenges and the possible solutions to the problems and achieve excellence. Technological innovations and interference can be seen in almost all the industries and the recent pandemic is an excellent example where businesses survived only because of technology. All industries are enabling artificial intelligence and technology in business operations and in rendering services. Today’s data driven industry has caused a disruption in the industrial set up across all developing and emerging economies. The theme of the conference has been designed in a manner to address and throw light on all the above mentioned concepts and dovetail to business excellence and its deliverables to the society at large.
• Enable a platform to deliberate and get acquainted with the recent trends and technological innovations in the manufacturing and the service industry.
• Provide a forum to discuss examples of agile business and the resilience strategy to beat odds and bounce back
