About the Course

The short term programmes in hospitality skills is an initiative by Vedatya to bridge the gap between industry's requirement for line level employees and the existing skilled manpower. Vedatya provides essential blend of theory with practical exposure to ensure a successful career in the chosen operational area.

The total duration of programme is of 6-8 weeks depend upon the 'qualification' that one is training for. This programme is ideally suited for candidates who aspire to work in the hotel and restaurant sector at the entry level. Students who complete the programme are awarded a certificate by "Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council", an entity under the government of India's skilling initiative, and another certificate by Vedatya.

The 'Qualifications' for which training programmes are being offered at Vedatya are as follows

  • Food and Beverage Steward

  • Housekeeping- Room Attendant

Vedatya provides intensive skill training to build a strong foundation for a career in hospitality. 


Program Structure

The skill specific programme structures are as follows.

Skill | Programme in F&B Service Operations | F&B Steward Qualification

The F&B operations program is equipped to build skills and knowledge in the areas of food, beverage and restaurant operations. The duration of program is over 6 weeks with an apt combination of theory and practical experience. The programme will enhance the ability to work as a trainee in F&B Service operation. It will include inputs on key tasks, knowledge and skills required to succeed in the F&B domain of hospitality businesses.

The programme structure and content is as per the Tourism and Hospitality Skills Council's (THSC) specifications for the F&B Steward Qualification. The students will receive proper certification from THSC post completion of their assessment.

Skill | Programme in Housekeeping Operations | Room Attendant Qualification

The Housekeeping operations Program focuses on industry specific knowledge and skills development in the domain of Housekeeping. The program duration is for 6 weeks and will involve intensive training in Housekeeping Skills. It will enhance the skill to work as a trainee in a hotel's housekeeping operation and will include inputs on key tasks, knowledge, and skills as per weekly delivery plan. This training plan and specified content is aligned with Tourism and Hospitality Skills Council's (THSC) specifications for the Housekeeping Room Attendant Qualification. The students will receive proper certification from THSC post completion of their assessment.

Fee Structure

  • Programme fee of Rs. 2,000 (inclusive of all taxes) is payable at the beginning of the course. Successful completion through assessment will lead to the THSC certificate award

  • In addition, each candidate will be registered as per the PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yogna) scheme. Candidates will be expected to meet all requirements of the PMKVY scheme

  • Candidates will be also required to fund Rs. 500 towards opening of a bank account in their name, Rs 500 will be the mandatory minimum balance required on this account
