The one-year certificate program at Vedatya is designed to meet the growing demand for multidisciplinary design professionals in a variety of sectors. Today’s professional landscape requires individuals who can work collaboratively and think creatively. That’s why our design certificate program offers a comprehensive curriculum that provides students with a broad range of foundational design skills across various disciplines.
Moreover, young students interested in design as a field might just be eager to first explore their skills in various areas before committing to a specialization. Therefore, our program presents a thorough syllabus that equips students with an extensive array of fundamental design competencies and allows them to align their interests with a future career goal.
The 1-year certificate in Interdisciplinary Design Studies offers an excellent opportunity for recent high school graduates, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and anyone who wants to develop their design skills and pursue a career in the creative sector. The focus of the program is on interdisciplinary projects that the students undertake in teams, under the guidance of industry experts and faculty members. A total of 6 projects are expected to be completed in the 1-year study period.
The one-year design certificate program at Vedatya is divided into six projects, each covering a different module to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of design principles and techniques along with an introduction to marketing, finance, soft skills & personality development etc.
The four design-focused modules will introduce students a core fundamental design principles. For example: In Project 1, students will learn Design Visualization & Execution I, where they will develop skills in visual communication, sketching, and digital design tools to create designs for print and digital media.
Project 2 covers Design and Environment, where students will learn how to analyze environments and design solutions that integrate sustainability and social responsibility. They will develop skills in research, ideation, and prototyping to create designs that address environmental challenges.
In Project 3, Expression & Communication, students will learn how to express their ideas visually and verbally through various mediums. They will develop skills in storytelling, typography, and branding to create designs that communicate messages effectively.
Finally, in Project 4, Interdisciplinary Design Exploration, students will learn how to collaborate with peers from different design disciplines to create innovative solutions to complex problems. They will develop skills in ideation, prototyping, and presentation to create designs that incorporate diverse perspectives and approaches.
Upon successfully completing the certificate program, students will be able to seek employment in trainee positions in the design departments of a variety of industries. Otherwise, students can use the 1-year investment in the certificate program towards pursuing a full 4 years design degree.
The program aims to build confidence and a strong design foundation for individuals who have the passion for the design space. Through studying/ experimenting with design fundamentals and varied approaches – the students would gain an understanding of the basic design principles involved in successful designing.

Terms and Conditions
A refundable programme security deposit of Rs. 15,000 is to be paid at the time of admission. This is fully refundable when the student completes the programme or for some reason when he/she leaves the programme
If a student leaves the program in the middle of an academic year, then he/she is liable to pay half the annual fee for the particular year
International trip opportunity can be availed at an extra cost as communicated closer to the departure date
Learning resources are provided/facilitated by the institute at extra cost
Fee Refund Policy
The registration fee is refundable only in case the candidate fails or does not meet the 50% marks requirement (in best 4 subjects) in class XII or equivalent exams. It will not be refunded under any other circumstances
In case a student fails to join the programme or withdraws from the programme after the course has started, then only the refundable security deposit will be refunded (after completing a no due clearance process)
