GRADUATION: BACHELOR OF DESIGN

Our Interior Design course stands out from Pearl Academy Interior Design and NID interior design programs due to its unique advantage: a choice-based learning approach. This flexibility empowers students to tailor their specialization by selecting majors, minors, and electives aligned with their passion or current industry trends, setting us apart from other interior design institutes.

Today’s industry expectations require designers to be responsive towards aspects like aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability, with the support of technology. The challenge of finding creative, innovative solutions through their design acumen is what the spatial designers of the future must be trained for. The Environments & Space Design Major at Vedatya aims to give the student a comprehensive understanding and experience of the spatial design industry.

Throughout the study period, students will also have some of the fundamental business study courses being offered in parallel to design focused modules to build the ‘management’ aptitude of design professionals.

Modules in the domain of marketing, finance, entrepreneurial capability, business strategy & leadership will allow the future designers to be equipped with not just design creativity but also business skills critically required for a successful career in the Interior Design, Architectural Design and Spatial Design industry.

The third year of study will be in the form of an internship wherein the learner will work with an Interior Design firm. This will expose the student to the practical aspects of working in that discipline.

The third and fourth year of study will focus on establishing the credentials of the student as a thorough design professional in the industry. They will work within their chosen Major and align a Minor subject that creates their career pathway. Coupled with intensive national and international internships, this will expose the student to the practical aspects of working in the industry.

At the end of four years, students will be eligible for a Bachelor of Design degree, with a Major in Environments & Space Design and a Minor of their choice.
