Grievance Redressal Committee
(Academic Session: 2022-2023)

As an element of constant endeavor to ensure transparency in all the activities at different stages, the Vedatya Institute shall provide a proper mechanism for students and staff to redress their grievances. This committee will deal with all the grievances raised and common problems at the Institute level pertaining to both academics and administration. The aggrieved member shall submit his/her petition to the Grievance Redressal Committee on the dedicated portal for the purpose. On receipt of such petitions, the Grievance Redressal Committee will endeavor to send its recommendation to the Director / Dean/ Other Concerned Authority for further action(s). In case of false and frivolous complaints (if proven), the Grievance Redressal Committee will recommend Director/ Dean/ Disciplinary Authority take appropriate action against the complainant.

Objectives

To develop an organizational framework to resolve grievances of students and other stakeholders and to provide them access to immediate, hassle-free recourse to have their Grievances redressed.

Functional Responsibilities:

Formulate the policy to investigate and review the cause(s) of complaint(s) or grievance(s) of students and staff, and suggest redressed measures within the framework of Institute / University / Government rules.

Ensuring an effectual solution depending upon the gravity of the complaint.

Instruct the HODs concerned to attend to the grievances and refer/report the matters to the Director/ Dean/ Grievance Redressed Authority.

Attend to Students‟ grievances related to Examination(s) and recommend the implementation of suitable redressal mechanisms and minimize the grievances.

Maintain records of the Grievances reported, redressed/referred.

Actively look for a solution that will satisfy the employee, where practical, without causing disproportionate difficulty for the organization and other related parties.

Provide feedback to the aggrieved party about what can, and cannot be done to resolve the grievance.
